PAST
The Salesians arrived at Rupertswood in 1927, marking the beginning of what would become Australia’s first Salesian educational institute. Since then, the College has provided generations of young people with a quality education inspired by the teachings of Saint John Bosco. In the early 1990s, Salesian College Sunbury entered a new era—becoming a modern, co-educational school for Years 7–12 and welcoming students from Sunbury and surrounding regions.
Set within the historic grounds of Rupertswood Mansion, once the grand home of Sir William and Lady Clarke, the College blends a rich architectural legacy with contemporary learning.
This landmark estate, famously linked to the origins of the Ashes cricket tradition, provides a unique and inspiring setting for today’s students.
