Salesian College Sunbury is proud to partner with St Mary’s College, providing parallel educational services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This collaboration ensures that St Mary’s students are part of a fully integrated school experience, while also receiving the specialist support they need to thrive.

A collaborative approach to learning

St Mary’s College is an exceptional school, providing a flexible and genuinely inclusive learning environment for deaf and hard of hearing students from within Salesian College.

A focus on using cognitive science overlaid with knowledge of the impact of hearing loss ensures students receive adjustments, support and interventions designed to assist them in achieving in all aspects of their learning.

Every child is known and valued in the integrated partnership between St Mary’s College and Salesian College where classrooms and learning spaces are purposefully resourced to support effective communication for Deaf and hard of hearing students and rich friendships grow through a shared respect for each other.

Secondary students flourish in their years of school by fully participating in the wide inclusive curriculum offered through Salesian College with Teachers of the Deaf and other specialist support onsite, every day, to be accessed as much or as little as required.
