Our Savio Campus includes students from Years 7 and 8 in multi-age homerooms based around our house structure. A key focus of the Campus is to support the transition from primary to secondary school. Our peer support program and the Year 7 Camp early in the year are key aspects of this transition.
Learning at our Savio Campus is being re-shaped through the implementation of Project Based Learning, as defined and supported by the New Tech Network. Students engage in rigorous projects linked to real-world problems.
Their learning is applied in authentic ways that reflect the world of work. Our emphasis is on building independent, curious and creative learners who are ready to thrive in life beyond school. This approach to learning is supported through contemporary and dynamic learning spaces in the Savio Campus, with flexible structures and furniture facilitating collaboration within the classroom.
We pride ourselves on being able to cater for our diverse range of
learners and individual abilities. We use the Maths Pathways program to
better enable more targeted teaching of Maths and have many additional
programs to cater for all, with a strong focus on development,
organisational skills and resilience as students face the challenges of
secondary school.
