At Salesian College Sunbury, we strive to ensure that every student achieves their potential. With learning data collected through assessments and feedback, our teachers gain a strong understanding of the learning needs of each student and they work collaboratively to create custom learning plans for the range of learning needs in each classroom.
Students and families also receive regular feedback using developmental rubrics that track growth in key skills over time. This feedback empowers students to be active participants in their personal learning journey, with clear guidance provided on what is required to achieve further growth.
For students that require additional assistance, Salesian College
Sunbury has a dedicated Learning Strategies department who work closely
with the Wellbeing Team, teachers and parents. This team of dedicated
professionals provide assistance in and out of the classroom to student
with additional learning needs, including ASD, social/emotional needs,
dyslexia and behavioural needs.
