Shirts for Year 7 Boys
In July 2017, we advised that we unfortunately have experienced an issue with the long-sleeved winter shirt for boys (new uniform only) which are too long to be worn untucked as was the original design.

The College and our uniform supplier Noone’s wish to alter these shirts so they are approx. 4cm shorter in length. We have therefore arranged for these shirts to be altered at the end of this Term.  Alterations will be at the College’s expense.

On the last day of Term 3, 22 September, we therefore require all students who own any long-sleeved winter shirts (new uniform only) to place their clean long-sleeved boys shirts in a plastic bag and given to your Home group teacher.

Inside the bag you will need to place the following:

  • Piece of paper with:
  • Your name
  • Home group
  • Size of long-sleeved shirt
  • Quantity of long-sleeved shirt
  • Your long-sleeved winter shirts (new uniform only)

All long-sleeved winter boys shirts will need to be clean/washed prior for alterations. They will need to be given to your Home Group teacher on 22 September. If this is not possible, you will need to drop your clean long-sleeved winter shirts in a bag to Reception during the School holiday break.

Because students are required to supply the College with their long-sleeved (new uniform only) on the Friday, 22 September, boys will be able to wear their summer shirt or their full sports uniform.

We apologise for this inconvenience. For any clarification, please contact the Development Department on phone 9744 0000.

House Debating
Updating the House Debating Competition – well done to Colliton and Maiocco who are through to the finals of the Year 8 competition winning their moot; “Sport should be removed from the curriculum”.

In the first round of the Year 7 competition Colliton, Mannix, Mahoney and O’Grady were all successful in winning their first round, arguing that their House was better than the opposition.

BYOD feedback
This week the Year 7’s will be asked to provide feedback on their Bring Your Own Device experience this year. This information will assist us going forward with support programs and advice to new Year 7 families.

Father’s Day Breakfast
It was great to see a number of Savio students at the Father’s Day breakfast recently and getting up close and personal with some furry friends!

Student Achievement
Well done to Amelia Cini Year 7 who is one of only 12 players to be chosen as part of the Victorian 12 years and under team to play at the Australia Pacific School Games in Adelaide in December.
