College Feast Day 13 September 2017
To recognize the 90 Anniversary of the College we are celebrating in style.  The day begins with celebration of Eucharist and we are fortunate to have Archbishop Denis Hart concelebrate this with the school in the Stadium.  Once mass is concluded the school community will be going to Luna Park for the day.

A Caremonkey permission form has been sent to all families last Wednesday, paper permission forms have been given to students who need them.

Important Information

  • Entry cost into Luna Park has been covered by the College
  • Please respond to this Caremonkey permission in a timely manner.  Non reply to care monkey (or paper permission form for some families) by the due date will result in non-participation in the Luna Park aspect of the day. Families will need to collect their child from the college after the mass. The due date for Caremonkey is Monday 11 September.
  • Students are to wear House Tops, College shorts or the College Track suit pants. The HPE Jacket or Navy rain coat should be brought (please ensure all clothing is named).
  • Students are NOT to bring any form of school bag on the day
  • Students are to bring lunch, morning tea/snacks and a drink/s in a plastic/paper bag- with thier full name on the outside.  These will be placed in a Homeroom container in the morning, for collection at the conclusion of mass.
  • Student may bring money for lunch/snacks and/or Arcade games if they wish.
  • The day will begin at the normal time of 8.40am, all student will be back at school for normal dismissal time and College buses.
  • Whilst students may wish to bring their mobile phone, the College will not take any responsibility for it (a reminder, due to the no bag policy, phones will not be able to be kept in their bag).
  • All students will depart the venue with the College and return to the College.  Due to Child Safety regulations notes for early departure or departure from the venue will not be accepted.
  • This is a compulsory celebration day for all students. We understand that our VCAL students are also scheduled to undertake Structured Workplace Learning or attend TAFE classes, however on this occasion we ask that all students attend the College Feast day. All TAFE providers are aware that Salesian students will not be in attendance on this day.

Summer Uniform:
As per the last few years we allow the changeover of winter to summer uniform to occur the last two weeks of term.  From Monday 11 September students can wear either the full College Winter uniform, or the full College Summer uniform- no mix and match.

Regardless of which uniform students select to wear, could I remind families to check the summer uniform before Term 4 begins.  Check that the uniform still fits, that the dress in knee length, that the Blazer is clean and shoes are polished. The College Blazer is compulsory in Term 4.

A reminder to parents/guardians of the Year 12 students.  Students need school shoes (not runners) for term 4, as well as Blazer that fits (we have some spares in Student Hub if required). Thanks for most families continued support in this area.
