Director of Faith & Religious Studies

Recently, 15 senior students from the Bosco Campus and two staff members (Mrs Luisa Carfi and Ms Emma Bradley) joined me in attending the annual Salesian youth event called “OzBosco”.

The weekend event was held at St Joseph’s College Ferntree Gully and saw over 150 students, youth leaders, teachers, Salesian Sisters (FMA’s) and Salesian brothers and priest (SDB’s) come together to actively participate. The weekend included workshops, keynote addresses, games and activities, prayer and Eucharistic worship, centered around this year’s Salesian Strenna theme- We are a Family- A School of Life and Love.

OzBosco continues to be a highlight on the Salesian calendar and an event that celebrates the Salesian charism. In its ninth year now, OzBosco continues to be a pivotal focus for our Salesian province with its direct focus on the faith formation of young people, and its relevant context of making the link between all those who gather for the occasion being united in the spirit of St John Bosco.

We now look forward to 2018 and the tenth anniversary of this special event.
