Savio Campus News

Year 7 Family Night
Thank you to all the families who attended our Year 7 evening. It was wonderful to meet parents, especially those new to the College. I hope those who joined us enjoyed your evening, as well as meeting the key staff involved in looking after the pastoral care of your child.

Swimming Carnival
The sun was in full force for our Swimming Carnival, this year held as a whole school event at the Sunbury pool. It was great to celebrate together and House Spirit was certainly in evidence! Well done to all who swam for their House and the great supporters on the side of the pool.

Our before and afterschool homework help has been popular this term – with Savio students utilizing the campus area. Many thanks to the staff, led by Mrs Christenson, who give up their free time to help students who take advantage of this amazing opportunity.

Saint Patrick’s Day Mass
Many thanks to the Savio Leaders who attended the annual Mass on Saint Patrick’s Day, held at Saint Peter’s Cathedral in the city and celebrated by the Bishop. This is always a great celebration of our Catholic Schools family. My thanks to Ms Teresa Pilone and Sr Rochelle who accompanied the students.

St Anne’s Leadership Visit
Four of our current Year 7 students were invited back to St Anne’s Primary school recently to talk about their leadership experiences. Well done to following students: Amy Webber, Blake Carroll, Pat Ervin and Barden McIntyre. Thanks to Ms Angela Romano who accompanied them.

Student Achievement
Well done to Declan Berne Year 8 Mannix House who has qualified for the state athletics championships, to be run at Lakeside stadium Albert Park in the middle of March. Good luck Declan!
