Deputy Principal - Students

In an attempt to minimise the risk in relation to Anaphylaxis in the College I would like to remind parents and students to the following points in relation to the provision of food

  • Staff at the College are aware that providing food for students (either brought in by a staff member or by a student) as a reward or part of a class activity is to be avoided.
  • All staff, students and parents are aware that no student can have a delivery of food to the school, or school sanctioned event from non-authorised person/s (example, non-custodial guardian, Fast Food Delivery Service or UberEats).
  • Parents who wish to bring food into the College, for their own child/ren, are free to do so.  On arrival at the College the parent/guardian is to take the food to the Student Hub, were it will then be passed on to the student/s.

Salesian College Swimming Carnival March 10, 2017 at Sunbury Aquatic Centre (Ligar Street Sunbury).
The first whole school event that goes towards the Papworth Cup is nearly upon us. This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in House Spirit. Either by Swimming in events, competing in the house chess or volleyball competition. Supporting your house, and being a part of a whole school event encompasses our vision of Community.

Please note that this is a compulsory event, and a medical certificate will be required if a student is absent.

All buses will drop students off at Clarke Oval (just next to the pool) and will be there at the end of the day to pick students up.  Staff will be present at Clarke Oval from 8.20am in the morning to supervise.

Upon arrival at Clarke Oval, students should meet in House Areas (watch out for the House Flags). Students walking or being driven, should head to the House Area.

Students are required to wear FULL PE Uniform to and from the Aquatic Centre with their House Top.  Year 12 students are invited to change into fancy dress once they arrive at the pool. When students are not competing in an event, they must wear the House Top.

Please note that the College’s mobile phone policy will be adhered to at the Carnival. Should students be found using mobile phones, it will be confiscated as per our policy.  Students are advised NOT bring their mobile phone to the event.

Remember to be sun smart, and drinks lots of water.

Care Monkey permission has all the details- please read this carefully.
