Subjects for 2017 and Subject Changes
All students received an email late last week advising them of their 2017 subjects. The vast majority of students will have received all of their preferences, but there are some students who will have been assigned to a reserve subject. This will have been due to a clash with another subject that they had chosen. Booklists were also distributed at the end of last week, and students and families can use these in conjunction with their confirmed subjects to order required books for 2017.

Students wishing to apply to change into a different elective subject for 2017 can do so this week. Students need to collect a subject change form from the relevant campus, and complete and submit it by Friday 28th of October. Forms will be processed by campus directors, in the order in which they are received.

End of year examinations
Best of luck to Year 12 VCE students who begin their VCAA examinations this week; these are the culmination of a year’s hard study and we wish all students sitting exams the very best. Congratulations to students who have already completed their first performance or languages oral exams in the past weeks.

Year 10 and 11 students will begin exams next week, please see the information sent out by the Bosco Director Sam Scollo for attendance and other requirements during this period. Information about examinations for Year 7-9 students will be sent out in the coming weeks.

Careers website
As we move towards the end of the year, it is a good time to begin thinking about post-school options for your son or daughter, regardless of their year level. The College community is lucky to have a very full and detailed Careers Website, which holds a huge amount of information about tertiary study, work options, and further training programs. The address is and it is well worth a visit.
