Salesian College Feast Day: 9 September

Dear Students & Parents,

We will be celebrating Salesian Feast Day on the second last Friday of term, Friday 9 September.  This day is now an annual celebration (last year being the inaugural celebration) and celebrates the uniqueness of being a Salesian school, in the image of Don Bosco.  At Salesian we view this day as a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our Salesian heritage and all that takes place in our own special Salesian community every day.  The celebration is a compulsory day and one that we expect to be filled with activities that reflect important values in our College:  Celebration of Eucharist, House based activities, hospitality of food, fun and the traditional MADD showcase (Music Art Drama & Dance).

What will happen? The day will include the following activities:
Whole School Mass
MADD completion- The Voice, Theatre Sports, Battle of the Bands, Dance, Art on Canvas
House Activities: Just Dance, Face Painting, Mini Golf, Darts, Egg & Spoon Races
Other activities such as: Harley Rides, Daytona Games, Giant Slide, UFO Rides & Food Stalls
Announcement of MADD winners as a contribution to the Papworth Cup
Normal start and finish times to the school day

What a great day!

Students can BYO food if they wish, but we will have ample food available on the day for pre-purchased coupons.
Several activities are free on the day, but many will need the pre-purchased voucher.

Western Water are supplying a water tank on the day for students to refill their own water bottles.  The College is conscious of being more sustainable, so please note that no drinks will be available for purchase on the day.  Drinking taps (bubblers) are always available for students to use.
