Deputy Principal - Students

Welcome back to Term 3, the weather has certainly reminded us that we are in the middle of winter. I thought I would take the opportunity to outline to parents the processes we have put in place to keep our students, your child/ren warm and out of the elements in Term 3.  Throughout the whole year the school has a wet weather program that is implemented at lunchtime when is it is raining. Below are the details for students should wet weather be called:

Venues: F301, F302, Mazzarello Campus, C Block Corridor & C302, C303, Bunjil locker area, Upper OLC: Naughton House Area, Canteen and Library.

Instructions and reminders to students:

Students are encouraged to seek shelter in these areas and must ensure that their litter is placed in a bin and the area kept clean.
If outside, students are to remain under the covered areas available.
No students are to be on the oval, courts or playing ball games.

In addition to a wet weather program, throughout Term 3 we also have areas open at LUNCHTIME for students to access so as to be out of the cold weather. These areas and instructions are listed below:

Cold Weather Program: For Terms 3 the following areas will be open during lunchtime so that students can keep out of the cold. Please ensure all rooms are kept rubbish free and tidy.

Venues: F302, OLC – Bunjil Locker Area Only, C303 & Corridor, OLC – Naughton Area, Canteen and Library.

For the processes outlined above, it is vital that all students respect the environment and respect one another.   A key to the successes of any alternate program is the support from the student body.  Any student who does not (i) respect the simple rules enforced, (ii) follow the instructions of a teacher, will be removed from the area and will have a meeting with her or his respective House Leader.

Please note that All these instructions have been given to students through the homeroom, the daily bulletin and have been placed on some of the display on noticeboards around the school.

School Uniform:

The College works closely with Noone’s our Uniform supplier.  If a family has a concern regarding uniform (supply, quality, customer service) please make contact with the uniform supplier, or contact myself at the College.  The best way to contact me is via email, and I will reply to this within 24 hours.  My email address is  It is better to seek clarification through the correct channels and pass information on, or get clarification so that the College and the supplier can continue to provide best quality service.

Student Leadership:

Congratulations to our Sacred Earth Leaders who have organised recycle bins at the College.  At the recent assembly students from Sacred Earth outline the process for recycling and gave the students an update on the Lake.  Well done to the Sacred Earth Team: Sarah Beattie, Hua Yan Hu (affectionately known as Dao Dao), Edith Spiers and Rohan Coughlan.  Thanks to Mr Cautley and Ms Fattori for working with this group of very keen students.
