Mazzarello Feast Day Monday 11th May

Monday 11th May marked a very special day for the students, staff and sisters of the Mazzarello Campus, celebrating its second Feast Day. The day began celebrating a Mass with all members of the Campus, Father Will, Mr Connelly, Dr Grace and Celebrant Father Joe. We were also very privileged to have four Salesian Sisters join us in the celebration of mass. Sister Rochelle and Father Will added to the celebration with their musical talents. The Campus was presented with two books about the life and times of our namesake the Blessed Maria Mazzarello by the sister at the end of mass.

At the end of mass the students made their way to Hanging Rock Recreation Reserve where they were able to participate in sporting activities, enjoy the environs and climb “The Rock”. Everyone was provided a BBQ lunch cooked by the teachers of the Mazzarello Campus. The weather held out for all, although a little chilly the rains stayed away for the day.

Everyone is to be commended on their behaviour and actions throughout the day assisting in making a day a great celebration of Campus life.

Year 9 Camp

With only four days before the Year 9 Camp we hope that everyone is well prepared and ready for the experience. Group listing were published earlier this week. Each student should now know the members of their group. With the weather this week and looking forward into next week’s forecasts we ask that every student checks over their equipment and clothing, especially in regards to warm winter clothing. Please note that full water proof clothing will be provided for everyone attending the camp.

We wish everyone attending the camp the very best and know that all will have a positive experience.

Semester One Exams

Please note that all Year 9 students are to sit their end of year exams, 3rd & 4th June. Students will sit the English exam on Tuesday, the Maths exam on Wednesday. All exams will be held during period 1. We ask that all students ensure they arrive to school on these days by 8.40am, to ensure a successful start to each exam. Classes have been working on study plans and revision guides to studying.
