On Friday 25 October we hosted our annual Rupertswood Harvest. It was the first year that the event was held at night; the positive response to the new time has been overwhelming.
This event is a great opportunity for our agriculture students and staff to highlight their livestock, and share what day to day life is like on our farm with the wider community. It is also a wonderful evening to highlight other areas of our curriculum. We were treated to language and technology displays, entertaining arts displays, with music and drama on the main stage and captivating visual arts in the Mansion and SAGE Gallery.
Each year the community engagement amazes us, we are privileged to be part of a community like Sunbury. Attendance numbers in the thousands, with patrons enjoying the displays, community stalls and of course delicious food trucks.
Thank you to all the students, staff, and community members who took part in the day by hosting stalls, representing the College, performing, or volunteering. Special thanks to Sunbury Coaches for providing free bus transport all evening, Noone’s Imagewear for supplying vouchers for prizes and St Anne’s Catholic Primary School as well as Our Lady of Mount Carmel for their support.
As always, we welcome any feedback in an effort to make sure we are always improving. If you attended our Rupertswood Harvest this year, we would be grateful if you completed our short feedback survey. Click here to begin.
A big thank you to all who attended our recent College Open Day. We love being able to showcase our College and what makes us different. These days allow us to do just that in the best way possible. If you or anyone you know attended the day and are looking to enrol a student in Years 8-12 in 2020, please submit your applications by Friday 8 November. This will allow your child to begin with our Step Up program, commencing Wednesday 20 November.
The aim of the Step Up program is to give students a head start on their 2020 classes, to learn their timetable, and meet their teachers. This gives them the best start to life at Salesian College Sunbury in 2020.
