Last week saw our first school camp for the year, with our Year 7 students from Colliton, Mahoney, and McKillop Houses head off to Dromana for a fun-filled, action-packed three days!
This camp is a fantastic experience for our students – especially those who may never have been away on a school camp before. It involves a mix of team-building and initiative activities, balanced with fun, outdoor experiences. The trip also includes a trivia night as well as a retreat session, and students have opportunities to climb tall trees and stand-up paddle board!
Thank you to the generous staff who gave up their time for this camp and who committed to making it a fantastic first camp experience for our new Year 7s – including a special visit from our principal, Mr Brockhus, who joined us on the middle night to run a reflection session.
This week it’s time for the rest of the year level to go and have a turn. Our Year 7s from Naughton, Mannix, and Maiocco Houses are away at the moment and having a wonderful time, and our Bunjil and O’Grady Year 7s will head off on Wednesday.
