Booking information for next week’s interviews has been communicated to families and the booking system is now open. If you did not receive this information, or you require special assistance in booking your interviews, please contact Melody Cuthbert for help. Please also check your child’s Pastoral Records in Schoolbox to see if teachers have specifically requested a meeting to discuss an issue of concern.
To get the most out of these interviews, we strongly encourage that students are present and that they actively participate in the discussion. Please note that the interviews are five minutes in length, so if you require a longer discussion with your child’s teacher, we encourage you to make contact with the teacher in advance or as a follow up to your initial discussion on the night.
The interviews will take place in the Stadium at the following times:
A reminder that Tuesday 13 August is a student-free day.
Thank you to everyone who attended our Bosco and Mazzarello Subject Selection Evenings. It was great to see so many discussions taking place, and copies of the presentations (as well as subject selection handbooks) are now available on Schoolbox using the following link: https://schoolbox.scr.vic.edu.au/homepage/4669.
All students should now have received an email with their login details to our online Web Preferences system (except for current Year 8 students, who have received a paper copy of the subject selection form). These details are sent directly to students, so parents will need to ask their child to share this with them. If your child has not received their Web Preferences email, please email Melody Cuthbert for assistance.
Current Year 9 and Year 10 students will meet a mentor to review their selections and to ask questions / seek advice. They must bring their 'Pathways form' to their interview which will take place during the following periods:
Current Year 8s will have a one-on-one meeting with a mentor to discuss their subject choices – during this interview, their mentor will enter their choices into the online system. These meetings will take place on Monday 12 August – please make sure your child has their form ready by then.
Students can change online preferences as many times as they like until the following deadlines:
We highly recommend that students enter their preferences before this time and get their homeroom teacher to check that they have entered them correctly. The reserves that they enter are very important, as they may end up studying these subjects, so take care when choosing. We build our College timetable around student choices, so please make sure that your child is choosing wisely the first time, changes can be difficult once the timetable is built.
