Within Salesian College Sunbury, a large range of sporting activities take place. We make a very significant contribution to the physical activity of children and young people through physical education, out of school hour programs and school based sporting competitions.

We take great pride in our sports program. We participate in the SACCSS Sports Association (Sports Association of Catholic Coeducational Secondary Schools) which is a division of Catholic Schools that is made up of 14 member schools located in North West Melbourne.

We also have affiliation with School Sport Victoria (SSV) which allows our students to be selected for Victorian squads and also compete in All Schools Events. This allows us to offer a wide range of sporting opportunities to our students.

One of the most memorable events in Australia’s history took place on the grounds here at Salesian College Sunbury, The Ashes. The Ashes urn which was humorously presented to English Cricket Captain Ivo Bligh to mark his team's victory in an 1882-83 test match series between Australia and England.
