Enrolments

Thank you to all those parents and students that have chosen to come to Salesian College in Year 7 2019. We are looking forward to welcoming you into our Salesian family.

Applicants closed for enrolment for Year 7 2019 on Friday 25 August 2017. Should you still be interested in applying for our College, a waiting list applies to late applications.

Tours of the College are offered throughout the year, and the College holds two Open Days each year. Please see Open Days/Tours for more information.

Applications are accepted at any time for Years 8 – 12. A non-refundable application fee of $100 is payable at time of lodgement. Once a place has been offered, an enrolment fee of $500 is payable. Further information can be obtained by contacting our College Registrar on 9744 0000.

Applications for Year 7

In accordance with the guidelines pertaining to the enrolment of students in Catholic Schools, provided by the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne, Salesian College implements the following procedure when considering applications for enrolment into Year 7.

1. Applications are accepted at any time up until the closing date.
2. The Catholic Education Office prescribes and publishes :

a. The closing date for applications
b. The date by which places must be offered to applicants
c. The date by which places offered must be accepted.

3. Applications are processed and interviews scheduled with members of the College Leadership.

4. Applications are not dealt with on a ‘first-come’ basis but according to the following order of priority developed in accordance with Archdiocesan policy:

1. Catholic children who are residents of the priority parishes of Sunbury and Gisborne and have attended a Catholic primary school in one of those parishes.

2. Children who are siblings of students currently enrolled at Salesian College.

3. Catholic children who are residents of the priority parishes of Sunbury and Gisborne and have not attended a Catholic school.

4. Children of past pupils of Salesian College.

5. Catholic children from other parishes (for pastoral reasons).

6. Children from non-Catholic Eastern churches who have attended a Catholic primary school and are residents of the priority parishes of Sunbury and Gisborne.

7. Children from non-Catholic Eastern churches who have not attended a Catholic primary school and are residents of the priority parishes of Sunbury and Gisborne.

8. Other Christian children who have attended a Catholic primary school and are residents of the priority parishes of Sunbury and Gisborne.

9. Other Christian children who have not attended a Catholic primary school and are residents of the priority parishes of Sunbury and Gisborne.

10. Non-Christian children who have attended a Catholic primary school and are residents of the priority parishes of Sunbury and Gisborne.

11. Non-Christian children who have not attended a Catholic primary school and are residents of the priority parishes of Sunbury and Gisborne.

12. Non-Catholic children who are not residents of the priority parishes of Sunbury and Gisborne (for pastoral reasons).

In the consideration of applications, the decision of the Principal is final.
